Rebecca Cummins is an artist who during the pandemic chose to work with mushrooms as a subject in her series Spore Drift. As state in her write up, she "focused on the interplay of drying mushrooms and time to examine spore dust after it had dropped away from the mushroom cap and documented the abstract traces of its former existence." I chose her because I enjoy the abstract nature of the images she created and how they seem to beautifully flow.
I choose Asger Carlsen for the series titled "Wrong" which is a series of manipulated images that as you can see by the aptly titled name are wrong. They can can give you a simple double take or be more grotesque and unsettling. It is a series of images that is thought provoking and makes one think.
