Paraphotography is a subgenre of photography that is related to how whimsical some people may see or think.
Photographs in this subgenre can often relate to the occult and/or the capriciousness of the mind.
Tereza Zelenkova created a set of photographs titled Darker Reality. With it, her work is subtly ephemeral. This subset of images is supposed to "subvert everyday reality"
Jeffery Silverthorne, born in 1946, creates photographs based on nudity and death. Many of his works are dark and dreary. He seems to often create a cringey feel in viewers of his work.
