Focusing on Surrealism the third photographer I decided to focus on was Jo Sandman. Her work focuses on the human body and mortality. She relies on medical images and combining them with digital images to create her compositions. I find it interesting and I also wonder how she gets her x-ray images. I have a good feeling that she isn't able to take them herself. So I wonder how she goes about acquiring them.
For my next choice of photographers, there are actually 2. Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber are a pair of surrealist photographers, who have been working together for the last 8 years. Their work consists of creating post-apocalyptic scenes. By creating dioramas and setting up small scenes they get their compositions. I found it interesting how one of the photographers were like they've picked up their camera only 3 times a year. Because they spend so much time creating their compositions.
