Roger Evans_Photographer 3 & 4

Photographer 1: Kirk Crippens & Gretchen LeMaistre

I'm including these two photographers as one whole photographer because they published a book titled Live Burls, which they use to draw attention to an environmental injustice and create change. I think this is important because photographers can physically go out and take action and then show proof to their audience and make aware of environmental justice. The photos themselves drew me in because of their black and white filter which contributes to the situation. There's a lot of really great composition, also.

Photographer 2: Alexander Heilner

In his series Welcome Home, Heilner takes photos of elaborate art installations found during one of the festivals in Black Rock City. The way he takes the photos of the installations is truly magical and seem like something from a dream. The way that their lit up and his composition is beautiful. I think it's special that they seem like they're bringing a community together through the art and I think Heilner captured it entrancingly.
