Lindsay Mackenzie is a Canadian based photo and multimedia journalist. She works for a range of news and NGO clients throughout the Middle East and North Africa. She also teaches photography for the National Geographic Student Exhibitions. The series that I chose is titled UK Students. These students were protesting the Conservative Government's proposal that would nearly triple the tuition rate for undergraduates. This is something that was said would not happen during the campaigning of one of the members. The photos are amazing. The feeling that I can get, and the solidarity from those protesting is fantastic. Of course we all know about the march that just happened on Saturday, so I thought it was interesting to see photo from other more recent protests. Also, despite the protests, the parliament still passed the bill to increase tuition, and the protests are still going on.
