BCM - Artist 3 - Dave Hill

I came across Dave Hill's photography around 2006, while taking a studio lighting class. He uses heavy post production, in the form of photoshop composite and manipulation to create cinematic scenes that are very complex and often over the top. I don't want to take my work to quite an extreme, but there are elements of his look and process that are worth picking over for inspiration. His work definitely aims to be commercial and he has had success in the years since I first saw his photos.

From the artists' website:
Dave is writer/director based out of Los Angeles.  He got his start as a still photographer, shooting album covers for artists such as 50 Cent and Chris Brown. This led to shooting national advertising campaigns for the past decade.  Recent clients include: Fiat, Chrysler, Scion, Toyota, Buick, Shaun White, Target.
During this time, Dave has been building his film and commercial presence.  He has written and directed numerous short films and car commercials, as well as creating The World's First Instagram TV Show - @DesertFriends.  Dave just wrapped production on his first feature film FLYING CARS.
