Beth Teller - Week 1 Post 2
Nancy Borowick is (currently) a Guam based humanitarian photographer. She is a regular contributor to the New York Times, Harold Tribune, CNN, National Geographic, Time Magazine and more. Her focus has been narrowed into telling stories of sickness and personal relationships. More recently with the focus being both of her parent's battle with stage four cancer (which is the photos that I chose to show). I chose this work because at the heart, was what fueled my interest in photographing my project, "Things left behind". I lost my mother very suddenly to cancer and immediately I kept everything of hers that I could. I wouldn't have dreamed of throwing it out or giving it away. While Nancy focuses on the relationships while they are alive, I'm looking at what has been left behind for them to be remembered.
