Robert Doisneau, is a photographer that was taking photos of the aftermath of WWII in European countries. These photos do a great job in capturing the emotional hardships that these people had to go through even after the war. The man leaning up against the wall is a wonderful portrait of just being tired of everything. The emotional appeal of war photos really interest me now that I'm trying to capture the emotional side of a lot of video or photos. Using poetry along with these photos would be amazingly powerful i think without taking away from the power of the photo itself. Black and white always seems to make things seem more simple than they are.
