Jon Risinger- Moving along to the colored photos. The lighting seems that equal to what a movie set would be. I know this photographer is famous for a production company which works a lot with set and movie creation so the lighting is understandable and create a great split light photo. The top photo though you can tell has ben filtered in some way and the lighting in it is complimentary to the dark clothing and tones at the lower part of the picture in the subject.
