White Man's Hole

This series of black and white photos were taken in 2016 in Australia.  The legend is told that A few men and a boy set out to discover gold in the Outback of Australia in 1915.  Instead, the boy stumbles upon Opals and the word spreads. The boy drowns about five years later, and never got to realize his fortune, but apparently many others did by mining opals in that same vicinity. The photos are documentary style of a mining town that used to be busy and prospering. Not particularly interesting to me,  however that dust left by stripping that land is noteworthy.
